Remember when you used to get excited about the potential for music in games?
We call it Phased gaming, and it’s a revolutionary way to set games to music. In 2025 we released a prototype for SEAR, a phased racing game that uses music in a way that creates an entirely new experience based on the song's emotions and flow – NOT its moment-to-moment beats.

NEW EXPECTATIONS
If it’s already been done, we don’t feel a need to repeat it. We are here to try new ideas and push design boundaries. Whether we succeed or fail, whether you love it or hate it, we will never play it safe. We're looking to evolve on everything from the game’s core gameplay loop to its HUD and Pause screen.

We aren’t just taking a new approach to how games play. We’re also taking a new approach to how the business is managed. At Temerity of course we value profit – but it’s in a hierarchy, and it’s not at the top. Keeping the business running, producing quality games, treating our hires well and retaining them whenever possible, and giving back to the industry by helping to preserve our digital history all come before uncapped profit. In an industry whose biggest players seem at times to have lost sight of the reasons people play games, we measure success differently. For us, it's a labor of love.
